Are you trying to connect to a printer that is shared from a server or from another PC? Or to a printer that is directly connected to the network? What problem are you experiencing, exactly?

Please provide some details and I am sure you will get some useful advice.

it would help for some more basic info like tom said. the printers folder is set up a little different in Vista to add a printer you can right click in a blank spot in the printers folder and select add printer or look at the bar just below the windows explorer address field and you'll see add printer, you may need to "run as administrator| and above all make sure you have a print driver for the machine that is for Vista.

Also unable to connect to printer on network.

I too am unable to add a network printer in vista business.
Here is my setup:

I have two PC's that runs XP PRO and an ibm lenovo x60 tablet that runs vista business. My printer which is an epson rx620 is plugged into the XP machine via usb port and works fine. The pc is directly connected to a linksys g router. The laptop is wirless.

I would like the Vista Tablet laptop to be able to connect to this printer. I've tried several things, but none work. I think the problem is that the vista laptop is not seeing the pc on the network through the router.
When i view network connections, it only lists itself (laptop) and the router. Other devices are not showing on the network. Ii cannot communicate the laptop with the other PC's. I've turned the firewalls off and have the same problem. Network discovery is on and the printer is shared.
The laptop has no problem communicating with the router. it is just being denied access beyond the router.

I know it can be done because I had it setup before, but had to do a restore and ever since then, i cannot see the pc on the network. I am at a stand still. I think it has to do with vista because i have another pc that is on the network and the two pc's can see each other and communicate between them. The problem is with the laptop running vista.

Can someone step me through setting this epson printer up on my laptop running vista?

thanks

Try turning off the firewalls in Vista and in XP and try to connect to the printer again, it is shared right?
