problem with hybrid sleep

#1 Post by skanky » Thu Jul 12, 2007 12:50 pm

when i enable hybrid sleep and put my T60 (vista ultimate) to sleep, then wake it up right away, it resumes like its coming back from hibernation.

however if i turn hybrid off, resuming from sleep comes back right away.

its my understanding that hybrid sleep writes to hdd and ram, if the power is uninterrupted (i have a battery and is still plugged into AC) then it should resume like from standby and only if power is cut, then it resumes like from hibernation, correct?

where am i going wrong? at the moment i have it set to hibernate after X minutes instead.

I have a Z61m running Vista Business and I don't even bother putting my computer to sleep anyone. The whole thing is just buggy. My attached devices are really slow to load, such as usb devices and even my fingerprint reader. They say that it's going to be worked out when SP1 arrives. I really hope this is the case.
