Yesterday I tried to use Rescue and Recovery disc to see what will happen. I pressed 'lenovo care' button when the system booted up. After that the screen came to 'Thinkvantage loading' with a progress bar like it is loading windows (also 'press F6...' appear in seconds), the screen showed 'waiting', then a blue screen appear with following sentences:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED
If this is the first time you’ve seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup options, and then select Safe Mode.
STOP: 0x0000006F (0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000)
Then I tried to use recovery CD I made before I used PQ magic creat new partitions, still same problem occured
Next I did is I used a OEM windows XP installation disc boot up the system, after I press enter to install XP, it loaded lots of drivers, then a blue screen with white warning sentences appear again, but this time the error code is more like STOP: 0x0000007E and an error about PCI.sys
Apparently I could not do a clean installation or recovery the system althought there is no problem when I use XP normally. If so it seems I am always working with some risk...
The C200 BIOS does not have a set-up for user to change SATA harddrive to 'compatible' mode, I don't know if this is the problem that causes above error messages?
The other thing is the laptop does not come with a floopy to let user press F6 in the beginning to install Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver, so I really don't know what causes the problem and how to start a clean XP installation.
If you have any suggestion it will be welcome! Thanks!!!
