Can't get to OLK13 folder to clean it up

#1 Post by coreman » Wed Jul 25, 2007 4:17 am

When I open a MS Office document (Office 2003) from Outlook, apparently it gets opened in a temporary folder named OLK13, whose path is: C:Documents and Settings/User/Local Settings/Temporary Internet Files/OLK13.

I have "View System Files and Folders" enabled but when I browse down from C:, I cannot find the "Temporary Internet Folders" under "Local Settings". The only folders listed are "VBE" and "Temp"...

I've cleaned the folder out manually by opening a document from Outlook and then trying to save...it opens in OLK13 folder so I can then right click each file and delete them one by one.

Can anyone help me unhide the "Temporary Internet Folders", it's like it has a Klingon Cloaking Device engaged....

Open Windows Explorer, look under Tools -> Folder Options and check the view settings. You can uncheck anything that hides files.

Having done this, in my experience, Windows Explorer shows the content of the folders but not the folders in Temporary Files. I use Total Commander for that. ... JDH
