Windows Vista Ultimate for X61

#1 Post by stylinexpat » Mon Jul 30, 2007 12:57 pm

I was just looking at the IBM website and found that Windows Visat Ultimate was available for the X61. I assue that with Ultimate one can run 4GB of ram? Anyone here have the X61 with Vista Ultimate and running 4GB of ram with it? I am wondering how that would run along with the new 200GB HDD from Hitachi.. Will the new IBM come with an extra CD for Windows Vista Ultimate to be able to install on a new HDD as well (recover CD I assume it is called)? Your input is appreciated :D If you have this system can you comment on its performance?

well i think if you check the X6x forum there was some mention about that.

About the 4GB of RAM tho, any 64bit OS can use it all, not only Ultimate. So Business x64 or Home Premium x64 can use it also as well as XP x64 and some Linux and other flavors.
