IE7 Temporary files size
I have a problem with my IE7. I set disk space used for IE7 to be 10mb. However everytime I download something that's larger than 10mb the diskspace used goes over the limit. Is this a bug in IE7?

Re: IE7 Temporary files size
the file will not get downloaded to the location i ask it to download but instead will download to the Temporary Internet Files location.
I have IE7 running (for a while now). I think 10Mb for temporary IE files is a bit small. I use a limit of 80Mb and IE never uses more than that. I use Cache Sentry Pro to maintain my cache because there has been the odd bug in IE. I do recommend Cache Sentry Pro for Windows 2000 and Windows XP. It is not clear it will work or is needed in Vista.
With respect to downloads, I use the same location every time in my General_Storage area. IE7 never puts them anywhere else.

It should do. Clear your temporary internet files to zero. Set your IE total size to something reasonable, and then set Cache Sentry to 10Mb less. Either the free version (which I have used) or the paid version (which I use now) should keep cache to the Cache Sentry level. If not, something else may be wrong. ... JDH

I will give it a try. 60mb IE disk use and 20mb CS. but my hunch is that IE by default uses more disk space when you download large files and clears it only when you close the browser.
update: so i tried using CS and setting IE to larger size for disk use. In the end whenever I download large files, IE7 disregards my limit for the amount of disk use and goes over it. so when I set my disk use for 60mb and I was downloading 720mb file, instead of downloading the file to my desktop as I specified, IE7 downloads it to its own temporary internet files directory and then copies it to desktop. Is there anyway to froce IE to download files directly to the location I am asking it to download?
