Sonic DLA and Diskeeper Lite

#1 Post by pipspeak » Tue Aug 07, 2007 10:13 am

Are these worth having?

I've no idea what Sonic DLA does but I've uninstalled all the other Sonic apps (will use Nero instead) so do I still need DLA for anything?

Diskeeper... is it really any better than the Windows disk maintenance utilities? I suspect not and I suspect it's just more bloatware but would like other opinions.

Sonic DLA is the equivalent to Neros InCD. A packet writing software that let's you use your CD/DVD like a normal drive.

Regarding the Diskeeper light just have a look at this post or do a forum search about Diskeeper.

Thanks... should I safely assume that all major burning suites (Roxio, Nero etc.) come with their own DLA software? I don't want to delete the sonic version only to find I can't use my drive.

Seems I can ditch diskeeper. Might give perfectdisk a try.

Perfect Disk 8 is a truly excellent defrag application. Very light on resources, very fast, schedule to run as you wish and forget it.
