Outlook 2007 re-import to Outlook 2003 Possible?

#1 Post by andyP » Mon Aug 20, 2007 2:23 pm

The reason I ask is because; my T43 fan, aka hairdryer, sounds as if it's about to give up the ghost. Today it started buzzing like the prop on a model aircraft  I've had the keyboard off and had a look and given it a good blast to no effect, I've got a feeling the bearings are on the way out. As I've got warranty until next April :D I'm going to send it in and get it sorted.

As I see it I have 2 options:
a) revert back to my good old trusty 5.5 year old T23, with as on my T43, XP and office 2003, but it does struggle sometimes due to insufficient RAM (512MB).

b) use the T61p with Vista and Office 2007.

My problem is, if I use the T61p, which is definitely better equipped for my uses I'll need to purchase another 2003 licence which I don't really want to do; I have already decided I will not be keeping the T61p for various reasons which I'll probably post at a later date.

Hence my question, has anyone tried importing an 2007 pst file to Outlook 2003?

Outlook 2003 and 2007 share the same file formats for their PST as long as you had used the new Personal Folder File for Office Outlook (Unicode PST). So you can use it on both versions of Outlook without problem.
