EVENT ID 578 logged 20 times a second! HELP!

This is a relatively new install.... i am getting 578 ids in the security event log about 20 times per second.. it is NON STOP..
Please does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on?

It would be helpful if you could tell us what the source is and what the error message actually says. There could be several reasons for the ID 578 so with the ID only it's hard to tell.
Does it happen also if you logon with the administrator account or only with your account? Is your account local administrator on the computer where you see this events? Is this computer member of a domain and do you login using a local account or domain account?
