Wierd performance issue when copying over LAN between vistas

#1 Post by LasseFJ » Tue Sep 18, 2007 3:25 am

Hi.

Take a look at this graph taken with UD-meter. Can anyone explain why it only copies every 10th second for 2 seconds?

There is plenty of speed for both computers, and both harddrives are idle, both CPU's are idle.

I've read something about differential copying, which should be a new feature - but I really don't understand it fully - so I don't know if it could be that?

MOD EDIT: Pic changed to link, no room to add warning in the subject line.

yeah i guess you can turn it off. I'm sure you can google that in 2 seconds. It's a feature to help WMP lock off some bandwidth for itself so your media plays without interuption.
