Editing Start -menu

#1 Post by SetTainte » Tue Sep 18, 2007 3:28 pm

I went to make some new folders though the Explorer to start --> programms.
Then I moved some folders under the folders I created.

Now Vista has removed everything inside the folders created. I don't for example have any short-cut icons for Lenovos original software.

How can I get all the disappeared shortcuts back and how should I customize the start menu to get there the hierarchy I like?

What you will need to do is go to the program, (or folder) and right click on it select copy.

Then you'll need to go to; C:\\ Users\{user name}\AppData {this folder is hidden}\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\ find some white space and right click and choose Create Shortcut

Hope that helps
