Vista - Folder Permissions Error 2755 etc.?

New t61p - so far no issues with Vista till today.

Trying to install the New IBM Symphony suite. Logged in as Admin.

Keep getting after extract and the initial install a pop up -
"server returned error 2755 unexpected error attempting to install c:/users/administrator."
Some research said to Turn back ON -UAC and reboot. Now I get the temp file is corrupted or full. Try to view and denied Access even though permissions show all.

I plan a clean install but wanted to feel out the OS first.
Anyone know when setting up Vista if there are parameters for
permissions or a work around?

I would think as Administrator I can get to anything.

Please take a look at this thread. FWIW, I installed the Lotus Symphony on my thinkpad with Windows Vista (UAC turned on) and everything was smooth. What I did was instead of extracting it from the server I downloaded the .exe setup via http server.

Thanks. Yes I did that originally. Did a clean install of Vista business - took about 45min. Now fine with the install.
The original install had VB set up as Business - I chose Home Office this time. Now File Manager looks like it should and the permissions are all correct. VB kept restricting access to everything.
