Connection lost after hibernation/sleep

#1 Post by preedy » Wed Sep 26, 2007 3:09 am

I have a problem with Windows Vista on T61. When my computer wake up from hibenation/sleep it lose connection to the Internet. I have to reconnect (Wi-Fi) or restart system (Eth). It is really annoying.

I am sorry if this problem was mentioned here before, but I couldn't find anything.

Any firewall? Are you using Access Connections?

Try this (works on intel NIC):

My Computer > Right Click Properties > Device Manager > Network Adapters > Right click Properties on the network > Power Management > uncheck "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

Better explanation in this PDF file.
