Hello everybody,
I got a new T61 with 1GB RAM. I decided to upgrade it to 2GB. After that I'm not able to controll the Controll Panel. Every other function is o.k. But this one keeps me nervous....and the wireless indicater started blinking. What comes next? Does anyone know the answer?
The message I get from Vista:

I don't think it has anything to do with the additional memory or T61 itself.

"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Under "2" I found the answer. Thanx a lot. It works.
"Saw a hint on another site to check *.cpl in c:/windows/system32.
I noted a cpl file that had the name of a program that one of my software vendors was getting me to install in order to make their software work under Vista (switching from Borland to Firebird) about the time I first lost Control Panel.
I moved that file to a new location and lo and behold, I got Control Panel back."
I did so, and it works again. Thanx for the link!
