X61s XP-PRo Safemode boot screen in Ultrabase vs no base

#1 Post by Altadena_Mark » Thu Oct 18, 2007 9:37 am

I just noticed that if I boot up my X61s into safemode while it's in the X6 Ultrabase, my screen resolution is 1024X768. If I boot up the machine outside of the base it's in 640X480 resolution. Is there a way to make it boot up in the native 1024X768 resolution outside of the base?
Thanks.

I've found a solution from another news group:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There actually is a way to change the resolution in safe mode. Here's how to do it.

Right click on the Desktop.

Select Properties

Go to the settings tab, and click 'Advanced'.

Go to the tab, Adapter.

Under Adapter, click the button 'List All Modes'

Now select your display resolution from the list, then click 'OK'.

And finally click 'Apply'
