battery? confused

#1 Post by vince_wonk » Tue Oct 23, 2007 10:44 am

i want to ask several question about my T61 cell battery
1. in battery maintenance menu, charge thresholds. what's the function of "optimize battery lifespan"?
2. after i choose "optimize battery lifespan", when i charge the battery. it will stop charging when it reach 55,89Wh, while actually its battery capacity can reach 56,08Wh. is it normal?
3. when i should do battery gauge reset? 20 cycle?
4. compared with my friend Z61, both of us use 6 cell baterry. why his battery have bigger capacity? his battery can reach up to 63,26 Wh.
sorry for my bad english. thank u

1, 2: ThinkPad Power Manager

3. Let the Power Manager notify you when a reset is required.
4. It depends on the cells used by the manufacturers. You don't need to worry about that, just concentrate on Amp/Hr rating for your battery.

Refer to Battery University if you're curious in knowing more about the batteries.
