Rescue and Recovery, OSD, hotkey didnt want to work
guys, my T61 have some problem with rescue and recovery. because my computer oftenly "stuck/hang" when startup, i decided to upgrade power manager to the latest one. after updating manually, i've find out that my OSD and hotkey didnt work. and now when i want to backup with rescue n rerecovery inside my windows, when i select it from program menu, it never appeared. what happened actually? can anybody give me a solution? i think updating should solve a problem, not create a new problem. but when i try to push the blue thinkvantage button it still work. but inside windows, its not working.

You didn't mention which operating system you have, Windows XP or Vista? I suppose Windows XP since you posted in Windows OS forum.
Four things make Fn keys and OSD successfully work and function properly on "Think" machines with Vista:
1. Lenovo System Interface driver.
2. ACPI Power Management.
3. Display driver. (from lenovo)
4. Hotekey utility.
Add Presentation director to the list too.
The list is identical for Windows XP except Lenovo System Interface driver.
To make Blue button work again, make sure "LPMGR" is check marked in the startup, if it's not there then reinstall following two packages:
1. ThinkVantage Productivity Center.
2. Access Help online User's Guide.
Hopefully it will start working again.
