How can one see the dual cpu cores performance

#1 Post by pae77 » Fri Nov 23, 2007 3:55 pm

I have come across various threads in which is sounds like people are able to see the performance of each core of the dual core CPU's. My question is how does one do this (in Vista)?
HP DV8t | Intel i7-Q 720 | 6GB (DDR3 1333) RAM | 1 TB (500GB Seagate 7200 rpm x2)| GeForce GT 230M (1GB) | 18.4" FHD | SuperMulti 8X w Lightscribe | FP Reader | Bluetooth | HDTV Tuner | Win 7 Ultimate x64. Backup: T61p (8891-CTO)

As far as I can tell, the task mgr performance tab doesn't show what each core is doing. I'll take a look at multi meter.

The multi meter thing is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks yet again!

You can also download any good temperature measuring utility, it will be able to tell you that information also. You can also think of it in terms of temperature, usually the higher the temperature the greater the load would be. That is also a way to determine GPU activity i.e. by measuring it's temperature.

Below is an example from PCWizard:

Example.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

That's a nice app too. Thanks.

I've only had my T61p a few days now, but I'm really loving it. It's so nice not to have to wait forever for the thing to boot up and for programs to load.

Been learning a lot about Vista over the past few days as well. Lot's more to learn still.
