save a .bmp. v.***doIhavetofixthis?

Ok, so I am getting the save only as .bmp annoyance.

Well I had this happen on my old desk top, and fixed it using the pages on the MS site: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810978

I have followed all three pages and the ONLY thing that works is to type in the extension in the file name box (.jpg).

I would like to fix this right though.

T30, XP SP2, I think it's I.E. 7 (has tabbed browsing option).

Would save properly previous to tonight.

Ideas?

That also happens if your IE temporary cache is full!
Click on Tools/Internet Options/go to Browsing History and click on Delete..., then select Delete Files from Temp. I'net Files.

I did exactly that as per the instructions in the pages I linked to on the MS site. Well it seems to be working now for some reason.

I didn't realize that a W a T and an F, were considered profanity.
