Yes - I read that and meant to post. Thanks, RBS, for posting it. In the same or like article, the author pointedly noted that XP has become Vista's worst enemy.
1. XP can run for years on end non-stop without crashing. Vista may be equally reliable, but it cannot be more reliable.
2. XP is easily secured (no hacks on my computers, ever, since 1982, whatever the system).
3. XP is faster. Vista SP1 is reported to be the same as SP0, where XP SP3 perportedly brings performance back to SP1 levels. We'll see.
4. I have had to spend several hundred dollards upgrading perfectly good software so as to have a Vista-compatible version. Businesses won't like that.
I will move to Vista sometime in the first half of 2008, not because I need to for myself, but rather, I will likely have clients who will do it, and I need to know. ... JDH
