WiFi Driver problem on R51

#1 Post by stemilano » Tue Dec 04, 2007 1:43 am

Hello,

I've an R51 Laptop, model 2889-W5V, with onboard IBM wifi. I've some problem connecting to my office wireless network. My IT dept told me that we've already problems, and somebody solved it modifying WiFi driver to use on G-protocol instead B/G-protocol.
I've verified in my wifi's hardware properties but my driver has no availability to disable B protocol.

Now driver is:

Atheros Comm Inc
Date: 27/12/2004
Version: 4.0.100.140

Anyone can help me?

Thanks

Stefano

Welcome to our forums.

If you still have the original IBM b/g wifi card in it, there are newer drivers out on IBM/Lenovo website.
Enter your productcode (Type/Model) on this page: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... eLenovo.do then go to Drivers and Software.
Good luck.
