how to clone OS to another hard drive?

#1 Post by notaluckyboy » Tue Dec 04, 2007 11:17 pm

I'm currently have 2 machines, T41p w/ 100gb hitachi and T41 w/ windows 2003 standard on 60gb hitachi. Last year, I've installed win2k3 on the T41, done tweakings/tunings and accumulated mass collection of softwares (no longer have the installation files, just the programs themselves in "program files" & "windows" directories. How do I copy from 60gb to the 100gb using Ultrabay Slim HDD adapter? (No, I don't have any external usb device besides that ultrabay).

I'm so tired of remove& insert the 60gb hard drive from the T41 to T41p and vice versa (sometimes play games T41p is better). Now I want both to have the same operating system and same files in them.

Please give any suggestion. Thanks.

**I do have multiple legit win2k3 keys and willing to use them if this cloning will violate MS policy.

See if the following post helps you from forum FAQs:

Hard Drive Cloning HOW TO.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
