Useless Windows Services...

#1 Post by SimonCC » Tue Nov 16, 2004 11:25 am

Just thought id share an excellant resource with you guys (and gals), i went to www.blackviper.com and read the 'configuration of windows services' pages. It is well set out and tells you exactly what each of the windows services does so that you can decide how important they are. As well as this, it recommends differant actions accroding to 'safe', 'high performer' and 'barebones', i stuck with safe for now as i do not want to mess anything up. READ BEFORE YOU ACT however as the service you disable may be crucial to one of your programs/activties especially if you work in a network!
