Anybody try the new FireFox 3.0b2 yet?
It seems way faster than 2.0.0.11

I tried for a little while. Most of the extensions that I use were not working - understandably - but it did feel a little spiffier and less of a memory hog. Because of the lack of extensions, unfotunately I had to switch back to 2.0.0.11 version soon. The good thing is the beta version installs in a separate directory, creates its own shortcuts and even profile is compatible so switching back to 2.0.0.11 is very painless.

Same issues here, no available add-ons yet.
The line, separating the toolbar/address-bar from the displayed page is missing, but that's basic cosmetics.
I run FF2 and FF3beta parallel for comparison.
Sometimes FF3 won't start and you have to reboot.

See what IE8 is going to be like (supposedly conforming to standards, it stood the Acid test recently).

I'm not too keen on the modified address bar with the other info that sits with the URL. Otherwise I'm satisfied with the beta, although I most regularly use 2.0.0.11 due to the add-on compatibility.

Yeah I'm on it also. Hate that none of my extensions work, but it seems to load pages faster and overall not as much as a memory hog.
While snooping around I came across this firefox tutorial and I learned a bunch of new tips to get the most out of this browser.

You also may want to check out the new WEAVE beta within Firefox.

Weave is the future. It doesn't offer much now, but when you read up on the direction ff is going you might want to at least sign up for the beta testing.
