Not sure what you mean. I've not had a problem with my CDs and DVDs not working in other machines.

Describe the problem you encounter.

When I make disks, they only work on the machine that I made them on. It says something about making the disks "compatible" for other machines to read, but I don't want to deal with all that.

As suggested earlier, change your burning software.
Nero is always a winner. or get the free CDBurnerXP http://cdburnerxp.se/

Hi Padhead,

Rather than 'turning something off' you need to turn 'finalize the disk' on. This is an option that you need to enable in your burning software before you burn the disk, this will prevent any further burning (i.e. multisession) on that disk, but it will also enable it to be played on and be compatible with other systems.

Hope this is of some help.

bishy.

I have made multisession disks and they open without issues on other computers.

PadHead, what burning program do you use?
