Lenovo T60 Wireless adapter disabling itself

#1 Post by msteudel » Fri Feb 22, 2008 12:22 pm

Hi All,

A friend's T60 running XP that randomly disables it's wireless adapter. When I go into connections and right click on it, it shows itself being disabled. When I right click on it, and choose enable it says "Connection Failed!". Any ideas? To fix it we have to reboot. I'm going to try and have her update the drivers ... once we get her back on ...

Thanks, Mark

No I don't think so, at least not while I've been there, I don't think the reboot would reactivate it would it?

Try this:

My Computer > Right Click Properties > Device Manager > Network Adapters > Right click Properties on the network > Power Management > uncheck "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
