Slingbox and Media Center!!!! :)

#1 Post by Crunch » Mon Mar 17, 2008 12:08 am

Hey all, I just installed Slingplayer after my buddy in San Francisco installed the Slingbox Pro w/HD Connect and Tivo (currently disabled). Streams beautifully without any skips, and the audio is awesome. That is one slick, incredible setup!!

Anyway, this is where Media Center should shine, right?? I want to use it to watch and record TV shows using the Slingbox...The connection is great and everything, but the quality is a bit lacking. I JUST started with this, so I'll likely have to tweak everything, but how do I chain in Media Center??? My friend said to screw Media Center (whatever, he's a Mac guy  ) and to use his Tivo to record shows. For one, it's not active yet, BUT I'd rather use Vista's Media Center anyway...

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

On another (side) note, by playing around with Media Center in an attempt to get it to "see" the Slingbox feed, I discovered TVTonic and installed that as well. This looks super cool, too! Anybody use it??

Thanks all... 8) 8) 8)
