I purchased a T61 with 160Gb drive. After I added my documents and pictures there was about 37gb left. My previous machine was running XP Pro, so I assumed Vista was huge, but it seemed odd.
I have just done a clean install of Vista, reinstalled all the Lenovo configutaion and my documents and pictures. Now I have a drive that 88Gb free.
Am I missing something? How do I tell if I have a recovery partition?
Thanks.

I hope you're familiar with the difference between Advertised HDD size Vs. Actual size.

Yes, the hidden partition expands itself depending on the size of HDD.
On Vista preload two things were taking up the most space on your drive:
1. Windows Shadow copies.
2. Rescue and Recovery backup(s).
See the following thread:
why my available HDD under Vista is decreasing.
