No permissions to write/save offline files vista B32 & W

#1 Post by jamess » Fri Apr 18, 2008 2:44 pm

I've been using offline files and sync functions since forever. I like it a lot. When at work, i open files from server, when i log off, everything syncs up and I can continue working anywhere not being connected to server.

I've been using Windows Home Server as file server and Vista Business 32.

On X61 Tablet with Vista B32 and Office 2007 (same setup as now) everything worked great. Now, out of an unknown reason, I can't save office documents anymore. I've checked permission on the server, I've disable UAC on vista, done all that I found on google. Still, however, I can't save offline files when not connected to server.

Any suggestions to what might be wrong?

PS: Excel 2007 keeps crashing on exit though and Excel (offline mode) says "File not saved" whereas Word 2007 reports "There has been a permission error etc. and the file has not been saved".

PLEASE HELP !
