#1 Post by sheynk » Tue Apr 22, 2008 1:56 am

So after running vista for a year and getting sp1 things just worked worse (another post).

I did the XP restore (thinkvantage recovery).

Updated everything there is. Everything works fine....but...

the laptop wont go to sleep

when i close the lid it just turns the screen off...but doesnt go to sleep

same with the button

and the windows command

I have to power down manually each time!

please help!!!!

Thanks,

Gary

You need to change the Power settings in both Windows and the Thinkvantage program.

both are set to do just that

Even going through the windows menu results in the same "dead state"

screen off...but won't go to sleep.
