Vista optional updates for t61

#1 Post by fr0zenmon » Sun May 11, 2008 1:25 pm

vista came back with a couple optional updates to the trackpad, video card nvidia and the other i forgot. What is your rules with doing these? Everything is working fine and i dont want to mess it up. SO i am reluctant at the same time I am curious that there will be performance improvments. The details section for these drivers didnt say anything. Have you installed these?

If all is well, I suggest leaving it alone. I have a problem with Pop Tray leaving its header on the screen occasionally when I minimize it. I tried the non-Lenovo video offered through Windows Vista update. It didn't do anything either way. So, while it works for me, I still suggest using the Lenovo drivers. ... JDH

I have installed all drivers and updates both from Lenovo and Windows Update. Ie Vista SP1 + updates.

I have no problems with anything so far.

I always run the Lenovo update first, then WI - do not know if that matters.
