hp d1460 software install failer

Hi,

I have purchased a hp d1460 printer. I installed it, worked all right. There was a basic icon on the desktop for the central program. I have notice that there was a bunch of extra programs and application i did not like. So i started to unistall them. Then the printer started to fail to function, so i decided to start the whole thing over. Uninstall, and delete the rest of files from the Programs file. Since then the installation just stops at the end at 96% and gives an error message of fatal failer. HP website instructions did not solve the problem. Any idea?
