Lenovo system interface driver

#1 Post by inac » Tue Jul 08, 2008 5:53 pm

I want to do a clean install without unnecessary software from lenovo. Does anybody knows for what the lenovo system interface driver excactly is?
I found a note in the installation instructions of the following drivers that the lenovo system interface driver is needed:
-Wireless WAN
-ThinkVantage Access Connections
-Presentation Director

I dont need these drivers (e.g. disabled WWAN in BIOS...).
Do i need the interface driver for anything else?

Hi,
Talking from my own experience, you´ll need that for the onscreen display (volume, display brightness). I think it won´t hurt the clean install ;)

Cheers

It is also needed for many of the Fn key combinations to work. On my personal "clean install" this driver is installed.
