Earlier this week I went to update my system and I downloaded and installed 13 packages which I'm not sure of the names but I know include a Access Connections update and a bios update. After my computer restarted Windows loaded fine and I was able to log in. The screen staid black after it loaded and an Access Connections window appeared with a wireless connections progress bar. The window disappeared but the screen staid black for some time so I restarted again. This time Windows never loaded and I just saw a black screen after the Windows loading screen, never went into the log in screen.
So that happens every time I start the computer and if I try safe mode it stops when loading mup.sys but this does let me go into the log in screen but I cannot log in. This login problem may because i do not have administration access.
I'm stuck running Knoppix and thinking of getting Ubuntu Live CD since it's my only computer. I'd appreciate any help anyone can give to get my Windows starting normally again.
