Power Manager Crash on WinSever 2008
Power Manager Crash on WinSever 2008
The power manager crashes as soon as I try to open it. However, the battery indicator shows up fine.
My setup is a T60p, freshly installed WinSever 2008 64bit.
Software installed using ThinkVantage System Update.
Is there a solution (like access connection needs wlan feature to be enabled) or do I have to wait for Lenovo to update theire software?
Thanks in advance.

WinServer 2008 is not intended for notebooks, so if I was you, I wouldn´t wait for an update from Lenovo to solve compatibility issues with a server OS
WinServer 2008 is not officially supported by Lenovo. However, I used to have WinServer 2008 installed on my ThinkPad and I didn´t experience any issues with PowerManager, but I installed all Lenovo software I needed manually. So, I would suggest you to try "clean" installing power manager, i.e. download from Lenovo website and do a manual install instead of using System Update. It´s quite possible that System Update won´t work always properly. I hope this would solve your problem.
Cheers and enjoy your OS
