Media Center missing all of a sudden on Vista Ultimate!???

#1 Post by Crunch » Sun Sep 14, 2008 2:43 pm

Hi all,

Folks, I got a problem. My Media Center is NOWHERE to be found. I didn't uninstall it, that's for sure. In fact, I wouldn't even know how to do that. I couldn't find it in the "Turn Windows features on/off" in Control Panel either.

Can some please help me. I really don't want to reinstall Vista all over again. :(

Thank you everyone!

Try windows key + enter and see if it shows up. If not, there is definitely something wrong with your installation :!:

Here it is in the program list as Windows Media Center, filed under "W". Windows+Enter does not bring it up.

The file to launch Windows Media Center is C:\Windows\ehome\ehshell.exe.

Not correct. The keyboard shortcut to open Windows Media Center is: Windows Key+ALT+ENTER
[see Help and Support off of the Start Menu]

Hmm, true, thanks for correcting me, I must have changed the keyboard shortcut as I don´t like shortcuts with more than 2 keys for everything else than taskmanager :D
