bluetooth dongle as a headset

Hi there happy Thinkpad-ers!
I have a spare BT from Sony-Erricsron, the exact model is HBH-702, these units are used paired with a BT enabled mobile phone

My TP is a T40 which is BT enabled, I can pair them, the computer can identify the headset but I cannot make it work with skype and other applications

Can anyone help me on this?

Please ignore the word dongle on the title I am talking about a BT headset not a dongle
