I have a t43 with XP, kept up to date with thinkvantage updates. I try to keep unnecessary processes and services from clogging my system, and I'm not sure if some of these are unneccessary, perhaps due to functional overlaps between old ibm utilities and newer lenovo "thinkvantage" stuff. Most notably, for some reason, I have 3 TpKmapMn.exe processes running. Here's the list, with child processes indented:
Code: Select all
IBM/LENOVO PROCESSES:
TpKmapMn.exe (If I kill this, my function keys don't work. Started from registry)
TpKmpSvc.exe (Seems I can kill this and my Fn key still works. Guess I should kill it for good?)
TpKmapMn.exe
TpKmapMn.exe
TPHKMGR.exe (launched from registry)
TPONSCR.exe
TpScrex.exe (I'd love to kill this one, but it seems that TPHKMGR.exe launches it)
AcSvc.exe
AcMurocHlpr.exe
SvcGuiHlpr.exe
TPHDEXLG.exe (HDD APS logging service)
AcSvc.exe
AcMurocHlpr.exe
SvcGuiHlpr.exe
AcPrfMgrSvc.exe (Access Connection Profile Manager Service)
ibmpmsvc.exe (Power Manager Service)
ACTray.exe (Started in Registry)
TpShocks.exe (launched from registry)
PWRMGRTR.dll run by rundll32.exe (started from registry).
ATI:
ati2evxx.exe
ati2evxx.exe
MOM.exe
CCC.exeThanks,
Allie
