What are executables associated with Power Manager ?

#1 Post by noetus » Tue Nov 25, 2008 4:16 pm

So I need to know what the executables are associated with the thinkvantage Power Manager.

The trouble is that I use Actual Windows Manager, which adds buttons to Vista's windows.

That's nice, but it conflicts somehow with the thinkvantage Power Manager.

So the green battery icon won't show up if the Actual Windows Manager is set to autoload at boot time.

And if I start AWM manually after a boot (or with a task scheduler with a delay set in), I get the green battery icon, but it remains "stuck" at whatever level the battery was when AWM started.

Now, there is a place within the configuration of AWM that lets me define exclusions. The folks over at AWM support suggested I set exclusions to the Power Manager so that AWM doesn't mess with it.

Trouble is, I don't know what executables to set the exclusions to. I tried PWMUI.EXE but that didn't work. I am sure I need to point to all the executables. Can anyone tell me what they are?

Never mind - I've found an alternative taskbar battery icon

http://vb.nitescifi.com/batterybar.html

that is nicer than the Thinkvantage one, and doesn't have the above conflict.
