Vista and Truecrypt

#1 Post by puma » Wed Jan 14, 2009 4:21 pm

Hey guys...
had an interesting situation..
I have my vista business machine t61 built perfect with truecrypt encrypting the entire disk.. Also taking backups using rapid restore. for whatever reason I go to do a full restore ... goes well.. the machine reboots.. asks me for my passphrase, log in.. and bam .. "NO BOOTABLE PARTITION FOUND" WTF! anyone have experience using truecrypt and rapid restore?
Thanks

You probably messed up the boot manager when encrypting the drive. Unless you can unencrypted the drive/partition, only a full nuke can save you.
