TrackPoint doesn't keep settings (Windows XP)

hello,

on one of my ThinkPads have installed Windows XP Pro SP2,
have problem with Trackpoint , it doesnt keep settings
mean very often after rebooting or shut-down ,have to setup sensitivity again,
second problem is the middle-button , which is using to scrolling , it hungs itself for few seconds
could anyone help me with that issues
would be very gratefull for all answers

Update synaptics to more recent versions? (sorry, don´t exactly know what version is installed on that particular machine) Same would go for the Lenovo System Interface Driver.

Do you use the UltraNav wizard/utility as well?

Maybe the problem is indeed that you use the latest versions Sometimes, earlier versions work better.

to Marin85: only use driver..and yes I use latest version..unfortune have no earlier version
