remote desktop connection in xp pro & resolutions...

hi,

i am able to connect from my desktop to my thinkpad, which has a higher resolution. after each time i connect through remote desktop, and use the thinkpad again without remote desktop, all the icons on the thinkpad are moved, since the desktop has a lower resolution than the thinkpad.

is there any way to avoid this, eg by having a remote desktop connection but with scrollbars?
