Cannot clone screen, windows XP Thinkpad R32

I am having problems connecting my thinkpad R32 to a projector. In particular, when I connect I can only use the projector as my second screen. This is not useful when I want to do a power point presentation, as the presentation only shows up on LCD and not the projector.
My R32 has the Radeon Mobility 7000 series chipset, running driver version 6.14, which is the newest I have been able to get from IBM. When I enable the second display, I cannot find a clone option.
