turn off windows vista handling network (wired/wireless)

#1 Post by johnp126 » Thu Apr 09, 2009 6:04 am

anyone know how to get windows to leave alone the networking and let access connections have the say and work correctly? windows vista creates duplicate connections like access connections. i seem to have issues because the 2 seem to be fighting over which ones are used. i'd like to disable windows handling what net to connect to and let access connections do it. i started having issues where first boot all works ok, but after that coming out of suspend i have issues. disabling both wired/wireless and enabling wired helps. otherwise only wireless works and that takes a long time to actually connect. i am not sure if it is related to the fios install i had done at home a few weeks back where they loaded some software (which i have since removed).. any ideas?
