Full Vista SP2 installation media .ISO images are now available on TechNet and MSDN for paid subscribers to those services.

Cheers,

i'm a little late to the game but just applied SP2 to two 2008 x64 installations without issue.   my only complaint is that they packaged it as an ISO with ia64/x64/x86 versions included when all i needed was the x64 .exe.

other than that, installation was painless.   i haven't noticed any differences with SP2 but admittedly haven't been looking for them, either.

I just downloaded Vista SP2 for 64-bit from Microsoft today (the first day of public availability and posting on their main website). Erik - you note that the install was painless and that sounds good.

I read somewhere here (but cannot find it) that early SP2 installs broke some Lenovo tools (Power Manager comes to mind). I wonder if you know if all you have is working well, or if there were any Lenovo applications giving you difficulty.

Thanks, ... JD

Installed and apart fromn holding one's breath s the instal went from stage 1, 2 - a noticeable pause at stage 3, install completed and no adverse side affects noticed. Seems to run a bit more perky.....HJJ

@jdhurst, I had heard the same thing, that is why I am waiting to upgrade to SP2 on my T400. Seems to me with System update under heavy development for the last month, it is possible Lenovo let SP2 slide in under the radar without fully testing it with all Lenovo drivers and apps.

I installed SP2 right after I posted my message in this thread and it seems to be working flawlessly. I have had no problems. All my Lenovo drivers are up-to-date. ... JD
