About MS WORD documents?

i have some WORD documents, is there any free software to view or re-write? (Windows xp pro) Looks like this t41 has wordpad and notepad...

ok i downloaded open office. the file i want to open says WPS type. which 'filter' do i use? the 'word 6' filter did not work, for example.

.wps is a Microsoft Works doc.

You need a converter to convert to .doc - try this:

open office should open the converted file without any problems.
