Wireless not working on new Vista install

#1 Post by thesartorialist » Sat Jul 25, 2009 9:01 pm

Hi, I just installed Vista Home Premium on my T42 (previously running XP Pro SP2), and now cannot connect to the internet wirelessly. No networks show up, and when I click "Diagnose why Windows can't find any networks," it tells me that "This computer does not have a wireless adapter installed and configured." The adapter does show up in the Device Manager, and I installed the latest driver I could find by jumping it over from another computer, but still no luck. It's an Intel PRO/1000 MT Mobile Connection adapter. Any ideas??

The Intel PRO/1000 MT is the wired network adaptor. You'll need to install the driver for your wireless card. Should be available here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... 6#wireless
