How do I make an XP skin?

#1 Post by Bookworm » Sat Feb 05, 2011 12:24 am

XP comes with a skin designed by fisher price, in three colors it calls different skins, but it's capable of using skins with totaly different looks. Where can I get *XP* skins (*N*O*T* Windowblinds!!!) ? How do I make them? How do I install them?

How loudly do I have to scream *N*O*T* WINDOWBLINDS!!! before you'll hear me?

Windowblinds looks very nice - and makes the computer too slow to use. I am downloading it only so I can get the bitmaps out of a skin I like, then I'll throw it away.

Once I have some graphics I like, how do I make an *XP* theme out of them, and how do I install it?

Before you start giving out for no good reason, look at the Software offered on the left: 6 or 7 alternatives.
Find your own stuff next time, you won't get any from me.

I said "not Windowblinds" and you posted a link to a well known windowblind site. Quit being so sensitive. What did you do, leave your sense of humor on the Powerbook forum? Sometimes I think people get on the internet because their looking for a fight.

If one of those links to Stardock is for something faster than Windowblinds,

Would someone with a better attitude please tell me which one?

I am afraid you cant just make them. The styles have to microsoft certified and there are only few out there: Luna, Royale, Royale Noir, Zune and Embedded.

If you don't like them you will have to use some additional software :/
