Access Connection error - C++ runtime something or the other

#1 Post by K. Eng » Wed Mar 23, 2005 1:06 pm

When I switch between networks sometimes I get a popup window that says something about a bad function call and says that it's a Microsoft C++ runtime error. It's related to access connections somehow, because restarting it prevents the error from occuring.

I noticed this only after updating to access connections 3.7 :?

I got this kind of error with ccSetMgr in Symantec Client Security on shutdown. I also had Access Connections cause my TP to fail to start completely because I had experimented once to many where I shouldn't have (that was a while back, now).

I have had some success with Registry First Aid (Rose City Software) now at Version 4. I don't holus-bolus recommend registry tools, but if a complete and total uninstall of Access Connections does not solve your problem, then consider RFA.

I updated Access Connections a couple of time after the experience in the first paragraph, and am now running Version 3.7 very successfully.

I uninstalled Access Connections 3.7 and reinstalled it. Everything seems to work fine now :)
