In order to save space (as I'm not using my Windows as the primary work partition), I zipped up a couple of directories that I never saw getting used and that use up a lot of space.

Now I just want to make sure what it is that I actualyl zipped up there:
Apps -> Setup files for IBM applications only needed during initial install?
Drivers -> Drivers for Hardware Setup Wizard
I386 -> Files needed only during Windows install and upgrades?
IBM -> Some other install files???
IBMwork -> Files needed only during (re-)install of IBM software components?

Well I think I guessed most of them correctly, but one never knows.
That's why I came here to make sure.

Apps is part of IBMtools and IBMTools contains the original apps and drivers. So Yes

Drivers is the place where driver files explode to (and thence run Setup). So kind of.

I386 is the original Windows folder and if you have SP2 loaded you can safely zip it up.

IBMwork should have been deleted. It always gets deleted on my systems when the initial install is complete. Should not be there.

I have no IBM folder, just IBMTools explained above.
